I have had to deal with death though in the past few months. About 3 months ago, my aunt committed suicide. She lived in Kentucky with her husband and two kids, who are in college. She was my dad's only sister too. It was hard seeing my dad deal with her death, and hard being at the funeral. The last night we were there, we went to their house, and I got to see my cousins and uncle and his family, and I couldn't help but wonder if I would ever see them again. I never saw them much as it was, especially with them being in Kentucky, but now that my aunt is no longer here, it bothers me that I may never see them again. Then I found out last Sunday that my dad's brother's daughter (my cousin) was in a car accident last weekend, and passed away. I never saw her much either. That's what sucks about all this. My dad's family has never been close, and has never made any efforts over the years to see each other, especially my dad, who's basically the black sheep in his family. I just can't help but wonder, after what's happened, how often am I really going to ever see my dad's family. I know I can't go back in time but I just wish that they had made more effort to get to know me, my sister and brother.

Life is just waiting around for the next disaster. The only consolation is, one of these times it'll be fatal.
